Bright aromas of ripe passionfruit, lychee, and green pepper leap from the glass, leading into a fresh, tropical palate layered with melon and gooseberry. A fine thread of citrus lingers on the finish, bringing balance, precision, and vibrancy. 

Named after the extraordinary East Indiaman ship resting on the Picton foreshore in the breathtaking Marlborough Sounds, this wine pays tribute to a remarkable piece of history. Built in Bengal in 1853, visiting the ship is an unforgettable experience—echoed in every glass of this Sauvignon Blanc. 

Crafted from select parcels across Marlborough, the fruit was chosen for its purity and expressive character. Harvested at peak ripeness in mid-March, the grapes were gently pressed and cool-fermented in stainless steel to preserve their freshness and aromatic intensity. Each parcel was treated individually, allowing our winemakers to compose a final blend that is vibrant, balanced, and truly delicious.
