An attractive petal pink rose with hints of redcurrents, raspberry and strawberry on the nose. The palate boasts refreshing spring fruits, a luscious, creamy texture and good acid/sweetness balance.

After a spring with few frost events, the new year brought with it the long, hot summer days and cool nights that Hawke’s Bay is known for. February saw no rainfall with very drying conditions in the lead up to harvest. Early ripening meant picking began at the start of March. An excellant vintage all round now paying dividends in the winery.

Merlot grapes were fermented to produce this Rose. Minimal skin contact in the press created its pale pink colour. Fermentation with specialist Rose yeast produced fragrant, floral characters with natural grape sweetness on the palate.
