"Bright and youthfully attractive, the bouquet shows sweet cherry, raspberry, floral and almond characters. It's equally appealing on the palate, delivering juicy fruit intensity and supple texture, finishing smooth and lingering. At its best: now to 2023" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, March 2020
Great Pinosity on offer here, showing regional character and imbued with complexity found in the Adelaide Hills. There’s vivid strawberry and cherry aromas on the nose enhanced by an earthy intensity and a subtle whole bunch character. Great balance of sweet and savoury fruit on the palate with a complexing length that displays cleansing acidity with soft tannins and a lasting finish.
A lack lustre vintage in the Hills for 2019 as it returned the lowest yields for years. Although yields were down the quality was good thanks to the Hills escaping the extreme heat of Summer and enjoying a slow ripening Autumn.
From premium vineyards in the Adelaide Hills, grapes were hand picked then fermented with a small portion of whole bunch (about 5%) for complexity. The wine was then added to 600ltr barrels for maturation, a portion of which had seen 30% new oak the rest was consigned to old oak.
The southern hairy-nose wombat is smaller than other wombats but is stocky, robust and the proud state emblem of South Australia. Like the might of the little wombat, Little Giant is crafted from premium regional South Australian fruit from established vineyards that deliver character and interest well above their size and weight. Hand-crafted and made with minimal additions and preservatives, these are wines made of the vineyard. The grapes are picked at optimal ripeness, minimally handled in the winery and fruit vibrancy is not hidden by non-essential artefact. Seeking first and foremost fruit expression, drinkability and to be a great accompaniment to food. Don’t let the size fool you, these are wines you’ll want to drink.
