Description

- Cinnamon & vanilla
Full of blackcurrant, spiced fruit, mint and bramble with rich layers of cinnamon and vanilla. A generous, mouth-filling wine, with rich spicy fruit and oak characters, soft tannins and a lingering sweet finish. The soft velvety Merlot combined with the powerful Cabernet Sauvignon grapes produces a luscious red wine.
Fruit was sourced from vineyards located in South Eastern Australia, where the climate is hot with high evaporation rates and generally low rainfall, making irrigation essential. Long sunshine hours ensure the fruit ripens fully and low relative humidity results in little incidence of disease. In the winery grapes were fermented for a period of seven days, after which the wine was matured in stainless steel tanks and oak prior to final blending to create the approachable full flavoured wine we come to expect of McGigan’s Black Label Cabernet Merlot.
Food Pairing: This wine is the perfect accompaniment to succulent lamb, beef or chicken dishes.
