Description

"A delectably styled cabernet; the fragrant bouquet show blackcurrant, dark cherry, violet, vanilla and cedar characters with a touch of tobacco complexity. It is succulent, supple and lingering on the palate with excellence weight and intensity, finishing long and very tasty" Wine Orbit

The winemakers have identified varying expressions of this classic varietal to blend together seamlessly, delivering a complex and layered wine with fruit intensity and suppleness. Deep red in colour with a crimson hue, there are aromas of violet, plum and hints of spice and char leading to a rich and luscious palate with plush tannins, vibrant fruit flavour and depth from from American oak. Enjoy now or can be cellared until 2028.

High quality parcels of fruit are selected from a diverse range of Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards throughout the Barossa Valley, to produce THE Barossan.

After reasonable winter and spring rainfall, soil moisture was adequate during the growing season and Barossa’s vineyards exhibited healthy canopies heading into summer. January and February were warm and dry, with very warm temperatures in February slowing down the pace of ripening and encouraging further flavour development.

Food Pairing: This rich and full-bodied wine deservedly complements the flavours of slow-roasted barbecued steak or braised meats.

Delicious smooth red to enjoy with most food or a chilly evening. Something between a full bodied Shiraz and a medium bodied Pinot Noir
