The Pinque Rosé wine is remarkably consistent year on year and the 2019 is no different. Pale salmon in colour with fresh and inviting red berry characters matching a clean, crisp and fresh palate.
This classical dry style Rosé comes from hillside vineyards surrounding the beautiful Cactus Bay and Owhiti Beach on Waiheke Island along with Merlot and Malbec from Ponui Island. Similar to previous years, winemakers select parcels of Merlot, Malbec and Syrah specifically for the Rosé before pressing them gently over 7 hours to produce pure pale juice for cold fermentation in stainless steel. Blended from a number of batches the resulting wine is made up of 54% Merlot, 26% Malbec and 20% Syrah.
