The LWE Shiraz is a wine of brooding intensity with a complexity that begins with a stimulating nose laced of cinnamon, chocolate and cassis which eloquently leads into a linear progression of youthful, rich fruits that tantalize the palate. With controlled weight, the flavours unfold layer after layer with delicacy and compliments an intense exploration of mouth feel offered by refined tannins. This exciting wine drinks well in its youth but will reward greatly by cellaring for over 20 years’ time.
Lindsay Wine Estate is named after the great Australian artist Sir Lionel Lindsay. Lindsay’s works admired the early Australian pioneers who explored and worked the land. With two distinct ranges to choose from, Lindsay Wine Estate has a special wine for every occasion to suit every kind of buyer. All of their wines are made at our Barossa Valley winery, with their premium range being crafted from grapes grown exclusively on their own estate.
14 days, open fermenter (2 days cold soaked), 28 months seasoned French & American oak hogsheads (25% new French Oak).
