awarded 88/100 points: Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review
"Bright and inviting, the attractively expressed bouquet shows Granny Smith apple, rockmelon, lemon pith and floral characters, followed by a juicy palate that is beautifully rounded and vibrant at the same time. It is splendidly expressive and tasty with a lingering mouth-watering finish" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
"Light, fresh, smooth-textured white with lemon peel, floral, wildflowers and a subtle saline-mineral influence supported by fresh, fruity acidity. Easy-drinking white that offers good value at this price" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review
Pecorino (meaning sheep) is an old, native variety probably originating from the Marche region and now also grown in neighboring Abruzzo. In the mid-20th Century, Pecorino was thought extinct. In the 1980s, a local producer researching native varieties investigated a rumour of some forgotten vines in an overgrown vineyard. Cuttings were taken and propagated. Since then, the variety's plantings have grown exponentially and it is the “hot and trendy” Italian grape of the moment. Following the harvest at the end of September, fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures for between 12-15 days and then spent a short period resting on the lees before bottling. A fresh, light, minerally white wine, with citrus aromas and a crisp, light palate with flavours of green apple and herbs. It is the perfect, light, lower-alcohol (12%) crisp, food-friendly style of wine to partake in the Italian tradition of celebrating long weekend lunches with friends and family.

2 x Saluti Puglia Rosso Merlot/Negroamaro NV (Italy)
awarded 17/20 points & 4 stars: Raymond Chan
awarded 86/100 points & 4 stars: Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Nov 2019
awarded 4 stars: Joelle Thomson
"A charming blend of Negroamaro and Merlot, the nicely lifted bouquet shows dark berry, mulberry, olive and dark mushroom characters. The palate delivers juicy fruit intensity and smooth mouthfeel, finishing firm and pleasingly dry. It's attractively spicy and savoury with sweet fruit flavours" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Nov 2019
"Dark, deep, ruby-red colour with black hues and lighter purple tints on the rim. The nose is elegantly proportioned with up-front ripe aromas of dark-red plums and savoury red berry fruits along with subtle notes of dark herbs and earth. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate possesses flavours of sweet dark red plums and savoury berry fruits entwined with subtle notes of herbs and earth. The palate is juicy, unfolding suggestions of plum jam and liquorice, and is enlivened by bright acidity with light tannin extraction providing background support. The fruit is carried to a lingering, lush finish with balancing grip. This is an elegant, up-front, sweet-fruited Puglia red with lively plum and red berry flavours and light textures. Serve with antipasto, tapas and Mediterranean cuisine over the next 2-3 years. A blend of 65% Merlot and 35% Negroamaro, from Brindisi, hand-picked and cool-fermented in tank to 12.5% alc" Raymond Chan
