"It's ripe and elegantly fragrant on the nose showing rockmelon, fig, vanilla and roasted cashew characters. The palate is equally charming with lovely mid-palate weight and creamy mouthfeel, nicely complemented by subtle oak nuances and refreshing acidity" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Feb 2020
The bouquet displays fresh white peach, nectarine, and a hint of hazelnut. The palate shows more of a savoury influence with refined nutty oak balanced with stone fruit flavours.
The 2018 Kingfisher Chardonnay grapes are sourced from the Marlborough region, famous for the production of expressive, fruit flavoured wines.
This wine was cool fermented in order to retain fruit flavour and freshness. A proportion was oak fermented and underwent malolactic fermentation to help add complexity, texture and palate weight.
Food Pairing: Pefect for drinking on its own or delicious with chicken casserole or creamy mushroom risotto.
