Description

These delicious dessert wines will make the perfect accompaniment to soft cheeses and scrumptious desserts.

Collection includes:

6 x Empress Glacier Wine Nelson Riesling 2011 (375ml)

Awarded 91/100 Points & 4.5 Stars: Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, May 2020

"A gorgeously matured Riesling, the complex bouquet shows golden peach, baked apple, fig and honey characters, leading to a succulent palate that's flavoursome and lingering. The wine offers gentle sweetness backed by refreshing acidity, finishing long and delectable. At its best: now to 2022" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, May 2020

Pale Straw colour, with developing golden hues. Slight hints of green in the correct light. The nose has pure varietal Riesling characters with Spring blossoms, succulent Summer peaches fresh of the tree and citrus notes. The wine has good entry to the palate with luscious concentration and ripe stonefruit elements. It is succulent and mouthfilling with natural residual sweetness which is well balanced against zesty acidity that runs the length of the palate.

6 x Emperor Glacier Wine Nelson Syrah 2014 (375ml)

This wine has a deep ruby colour. Enticing nose displaying plum and rhubarb characters, along with a subtle spice backbone and a slightly shuberty sweetness. Intense nose that changes as you drink. The palate emphasises juicy seasonal red berry notes and ripe cherries. The wine is lush and round with hints of poached pears and cinnamon.

The 2014 Syrah Emperor Glacier Wine, aged in French Oak, is a testimony to traditional old world wine making skills.
