Discover a unique message from Amisfield in every bottle!

An exquisite collection of wines from Amisfield that delivers a little something for everyone, making it an absolute crowd-pleaser.

Collection includes:

1 x Amisfield Central Otago Pinot Noir 2018

Bright and perfumed aromatics. A plush and red-fruited palate. Soft, approachable fine-grained tannin. A hint of spice adds complexity. A precise acid back-bone gives good length.

Grown across the Estate with vines planted in the Waenga silty loam soils of the lower terraces and the more gravelly Lochar sandy loams of the blocks beside the winery.

Budburst on the 6th of October was normal however by late October we had unseasonably warm weather leading to flowering 2 weeks early. With heat waves continuing into January we were tracking well ahead of any previous harvests. Some storm events in February could still not halt the rapid ripening of the grape berries and we started our harvest the first week of March.

1 x Amisfield Central Otago Pinot Noir Rosé 2020

A pale salmon pink, classically Pinot Noir Rosé in colour. Lifted floral nose, rosewater and strawberry fruit. The palate mixes crunchy red delicious apple, ripe raspberry and cream before finishing dry.

Grown within the Waenga silty loam soils of the lower terraces, the Pinot Noir fruit for this Rosé express bright berry flavours with a light tannin profile.

Central Otago experienced a growing season of extremes. Rain and strong wind through November and December impacted flowering, reducing yields. This was followed by a warm and mild January which helped develop healthy canopies. At harvest, nighttime temperatures plummeted, dramatically slowing the pace of ripening. This helped retain bright acidity, and allowed picking to extend from mid-March until mid-May. The small crops ensured great concentration of flavour.

1 x Amisfield Central Otago Pinot Gris 2019

A luscious and textural expression of Pinot Gris. Aromatics burst with pear, quince and a hint of white florals. On the palate the wine is concentrated with a touch of sweetness complementing the intense flavour while retaining the characteristic freshness of our Estate’s aromatic white wines.

The growing season returned to the mean after 2018’s unprecedented heat. The Pinot Gris blocks flourished with rain falling through the season. Early shoot thinning ensured balanced growth and healthy bunches with good fruit concentration. Numerous cold snaps during harvest meant there was a need for diligent frost fighting at day break.

The Pinot Gris vines are planted on a combination of Lochar stony gravels located on the top terrace above the winery and shallow sandy loam soils on the flats below.

1 x Amisfield Central Otago Sauvignon Blanc 2019

Awarded Gold Medal: New Zealand Organic Wine Awards 2020

A bright and expressive nose with notes of white peach, passionfruit and pineapple. The palate bursts with citrus, lime and a hint of blackcurrant leaf. The mouthfeel is electric and lively with a long dry finish.

The majority of Amisfield's Sauvignon Blanc vines are planted in the shallow sandy loam soils on the gently sloping top terrace above the winery, with a small portion growing on the more fertile flats below.

The growing season was back to the mean after 2018’s unprecedented heat. Numerous cold snaps during harvest meant there was a need for diligent frost fighting at day break.

Seal: Screw Cap - Alc: 12.5%

1 x Amisfield Central Otago Dry Riesling 2019

A flinty minerality leads to a palate with citrus zest, green apple, florals and a brilliant rush of lively acidity.

These grapes were gently pressed and the crisp refreshing juice was allowed to settle on lees for 48 hours. The juice was fermented cool using selected Alsatian yeast and a pied de cuve was used to naturally ferment a portion of the blend. The wine was matured on light fluffy lees for 5 months before bottling.

The growing season was back to the mean after 2018’s unprecedented heat. Numerous cold snaps during harvest meant there was a need frost fighting at day break. Both parcels of Riesling ripened evenly and held their acidity well. Planted in the upper reaches of Blocks 1 and 10, these vines grow in stony Lochar gravel overlaid by sandy loam.

1 x Amisfield Central Otago Chenin Blanc 2019

Striking aromas of citrus with a perfumed floral lift, a textured palate dominated by crisp green apple notes and a fresh finish.

Predominately planted within Lochar stony gravels on the upper terrace above the winery, as well as some small plantings spread across the Estate.

The growing season was back to the mean after 2018’s unprecedented heat. Numerous cold snaps during harvest meant there was a need for helicopters to frost fight at day break. Chenin was slow ripening in the cool harvest and was one of the last picks of the 2019 vintage.
