Tilia is named after the tree commonly found in Argentina’s wine country. For years, vineyard workers have used the flowers of the Tilia to make an herbal tea for enjoyment after a hard day’s work. The name Tilia was chosen in honor of this Argentinean tradition.
Tilia wines are made at Bodegas Esmeralda, a Catena family winery in the Eastern region of Mendoza. Tilia wines are sustainably farmed. Made by renowned Catena winemaker, Leopoldo Kuschnaroff, Tilia wines possess true varietal character and flavor complexity and come to the market at a strong value price.
Food Pairing: Pair this Malbec with a meat dish that mirrors its tangy berry flavors like cranberry pot roast or roast duck with sour cherry sauce.
