The palate is vibrant and well balanced, with flavours of gooseberry and tropical fruits with a zesty finish.
The fruit was sourced from selected vineyard sites in Marlborough. Fruit for this wine was picked up to six weeks earlier than normal, whilst sugar levels in the grapes were low. The resulting wine is naturally lighter in alcohol and displays fragrant aromas of tropical fruit and fresh citrus.
Fruit was harvested at optimum flavour intensity before the sugar levels became too high. This allowed the production of a wine lower in alcohol but rich in flavour. The grapes were machine harvested at cool temperature and process immediately to minimize skin contact. The juice was cool fermented in stainless steel to retain varietal character and freshness. Perfect for drinking immediately or over the next three years.
