A core of dark berry fruit and plum is lifted by top notes of rosewood, cedar and violet with a cooler fragrant hint of cardamom. A savoury dark earthy complexity and a thread of graphite brings a more serious, brooding undertone to the wine. On the palate the wine is medium/full bodied with gentle mid palate flesh, finishing with a long, fine, supple tannin structure. This is a dense yet elegant wine with great depth which will reward long term cellaring until 2029 – 2044.

68.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot and 0.5% Malbec.

Inky purple with a vibrant hue. The vibrancy on the nose flows on to the palate with ripe raspberry and five spice, the tannin is impressive in its persistence whilst being fine and talcy in consistency. Oak adds a layer of complexity and supports the fruit sympathetically with cedar and slight char notes. A vibrant nose of fresh dark berries, lifted cedar spice and dark cocoa.

Pale straw with flashes of green. Palate shows restraint with a nougat and creamy elegance. Subtle flavours along with the typical Adelaide Hills acid line bring freshness and length. On the nose of this Church Road Chardonnay are warm aromas of roasted nuts, toasted brioche, subtle creaminess and a hint of smoke. This is a flavourful, multidimensional Chardonnay with a core of ripe stone fruit, fragrant citrus and melon flavour and a balanced minerality. The palate is supple and soft, with a gentle acidity providing freshness and balance.

Food Pairing: Matches well to seafood and poultry, especially those with an element of creaminess.

A core of dark plum and red and black berry fruits are overlaid with classic Hawkes Bay Syrah floral perfume and exotic warm spice. There are also darker liquorice, mineral and earth notes that bring a serious brooding undertone, while subtle oak brings extra complexity and texture, imparting notes of vanilla, roasted cacao and a hint of smoke. On the palate the wine is medium-full bodied with an impression of sweet fruit and long finish driven by silky tannins and gentle acidity.
