"If you’re a fan of Chablis you’ll love this wine. Sweet, ripe peaches, apple blossom, freshly squeezed lemon and creamy spice on the complex nose. Punchy flavours of green apple, citrus, and crunchy white nectarine with a creamy mid palate with light spice and intense, salty minerality on the amazing finish" The Wine Writer
"Complex and enticing with apricot, fig, nougat and roasted hazelnut aromas, it's concentrated and richly textured in the mouth offering terrific power and persistency, while remaining elegant and poised. Expansive and impressively long on the finish. At its best: now to 2031" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
"Fresh, vibrant chardonnay with peach, nectarine, apple, lime, baguette crust, oyster shell and roasted nut flavours. Youthful high energy wine that promises to develop well with bottle age" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review
"Enjoyable young, but well worth cellaring, this vibrant wine was estate-grown and hand-picked at Northburn and Bannockburn, and fermented and lees-aged for nine months in oak barrels. Bright, light lemon/green, it is mouthfilling, with strong, fresh, peachy, citrusy flavours, oak complexity, and very good vigour and intensity. Best drinking 2024+" Michael Cooper
A complex and elegant Chardonnay with aromas ofyellow peach, pineapple, coconut and toasted oats.Citrus and white peach follow through the palatewith spicy oak nuances building into a complex arrayof brioche and biscuit undertones. A hint of citruspeel keeps the palate tight and fresh. This complex, textural wine shows lovely poise andwalks a fine line between richness and minerality.
The Life Series captures the essence of Te Kano’s Estate vineyards, using parcels of fruit from acrossour subregions to give a snapshot of the season andour unique expression of Central Otago.
A combination of our Central Otago subregions.Northburn shows fine boned acidity, pure fresh fruitflavours and a crystalline minerality derived fromSchist based soils, while Bannockburn gives rich ripetropical notes and mid palate weight.
The 2021 season started with warm and wetweather, leading to rapid early season growth andexcellent vine health. Windy weather over floweringand a warm late Summer period resulted in loweryields of perfectly ripe fruit, with excellent flavourconcentration.
Vineyard parcels were individually handharvested and whole bunch pressed to tank forlight settling. Barrel fermentation and extendedlees stirring over 9 months helped to build midpalate texture and complexity, prior to blendingof selected barrels in Spring.
