"Complex, bold, varietal, smoky and toasty spices bouquet. An attention seeking aroma package leads to a full-bodied expression on the palate with flavours of roasted stone fruits and barrel spices, fine wood tannins and contrasting acid line. Peach and baked apple, grapefruit and quince, a touch of honey and tropical fruit. A delicious, fresh and textured wine ticking all the boxes of flavour and texture, power and panache" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Shout Magazine

"Mouth-filling, tangy Chardonnay with oyster shell/mineral, grapefruit, white peach, roasted chestnut and spicy oak flavours supported by vibrant acidity and fine peppery tannins. High energy wine with moderate cellaring potential" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Dec 2022

A fuller bodied Chardonnay balanced by gentle, fresh acidity and a spine of slate like minerality. Fresh zesty citrus and citrus blossom notes are to the fore this year with riper, richer stonefruit underlying and providing extra depth. The fruit is overlaid with complexities of roasted nuts, toasted brioche, and a wisp of struck flint and gun smoke. Already drinking exceptionally well, with careful cellaring we expect this wine to continue to mature gracefully for 5 years or more from vintage date.

"A good style - very Burgundian with flinty fruit and honeysuckle sweetness on the nose and loads of oak and honeysuckle flavours laced with attractive barrel ferment characters" Winestate Magazine Adelaide Hills Tasting 2021

"There’s no mistaking the combination of roasted nectarine, peach and apple alongside the scents of oak in the bouquet of this wine. Cashew nut and vanilla, butter and toasty barrel are showcased in the bouquet as well. On the palate - full-bodied, rich in flavour with fruits and nut, custard and burnt butter qualities. There’s also a smoky quality to the flavours with the oak and some fine tannin textures as well. Medium+ acid line, a young wine still benefiting from more cellar time. Best drinking from late 2023 through 2029+" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Aug 2022

Vibrant pale green straw. Purity of fruit underlies this wine with an abundance of stonefruit and lemon pith, however it shows plenty of restraint and precision with its tight mineral acid backbone. A multi-layered palate with a seamless integration of oak and a harmonious texture, the Orlando Lyndale Chardonnay is an outstanding example of modern cool climate Chardonnay. Regional fruit characters of white peach and citrus with complex nuances of cashew, macadamia nut and flint.

"Varietal, toasty, dark fruited, spicy and broody, youthful, complex and engaging. Delicious, and wonderfully expressive on the palate with textures from fruit and wood, flavours of dark raspberry and roasted plum, black currant and dry gravel soil qualities. Lengthy, complex, with a core of fruit and dark spices of wood. Best drinking from 2023 through 2033+" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, The Shout, May 2022

"Youthful and slightly raw red with plum, dark berry, nutty oak, wood smoke and chocolate/mocha flavours. A backbone of vibrant acidity and fine tannins suggest good cellaring potential although the wine can be appreciated now" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Dec 2022

A core of dark plum and red and black berry fruits are overlaid with classic Hawkes Bay Syrah floral perfume and exotic warm spice. There are also darker liquorice, mineral and earth notes that bring a serious brooding undertone, while subtle oak brings extra complexity and texture, imparting notes of vanilla, roasted cacao and a hint of smoke. On the palate the wine is medium-full bodied with an impression of sweet fruit and long finish driven by silky tannins and gentle acidity.

1 x St Hugo Barossa Shiraz 2018 (Australia)

Awarded Gold Medal: Royal Melbourne Wine Awards 2021
Awarded 95/100 Points: Halliday Wine Companion 2021
Awarded 95/100 Points: Ray Jordan, West Australian, May 2022
Awarded 93/100 Points: Angus Hughson, The Vintage Journal, May 2022

"Matured 18 months in (55% new) 90/10% French/American oak barrels. An impressive vintage for St Hugo, leading out with a full, vibrant purple hue. A deep, compact yet bright core of crunchy blackberries, black cherries and satsuma plum hails a great vintage in the Barossa. High-cocoa dark chocolate French oak has been strategically and expertly deployed for long-term endurance. Impressive promise" Halliday Wine Companion 2021

"Comes from a number of different growers throughout the region. There is real brightness and life in here. It’s a more elegant and stylish expression of shiraz than some in the Barossa with a slight ferruginous and linear structure. The south gives the generosity, and the north gives the tannins and blackness. This was a very good year for the Barossa. It’s 50 per cent new French and it gets about 18 months overall. There’s a nice chalky tannin character threading through the mix of predominantly dark fruit with a lift of red fruit character. It has structure and power, and this is a wine that would age beautifully at between eight to 12 years of age" Ray Jordan, West Australian, May 2022

"Deep colour. Intense dark cherry, graphite, dark chocolate aromas with fragrant herb garden notes. Inky wine with dark cherry/ kirsch raspberry fruits, fine slinky/ chalky loose-knit tannins, hint ferruginous, some vanilla marzipan notes. Finishes rusty / brambly and long. 50% new French oak. Now–2028" Angus Hughson, The Vintage Journal, May 2022

1 x Orlando Jacaranda Ridge Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 (Australia)

Awarded Gold Medal: Halliday Australia Cabernet Challenge 2020
awarded gold medal:
New Zealand International Wine Show 2021
AWARDED 5 STARS: Yvonne Lorkin, Oct 2022
AWARDED 96/100 POINTS: Halliday Wine Companion 2021
AWARDED 94/100 POINTS: Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, May 2022

"Showcases aromas and flavours of black currant and purple fruits, Doris plum and baked vanilla, toasty cove and dark soils, old roses, raspberry and wood smoke. Delicious on the palate with a core of black and purple fruits, plums and currant, raspberry, sweet tobacco, baked bell-pepper, blackberry, cedar and baking spices. Ripe tannins, fleshy textures, a back bone of acidity and some aniseed, licoricey flavours. Great drinking from 2023 through 2033" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, May 2022

"Impenetrably inky and glossy blood-black in the glass, this bay leaf, blackberry and tobacco-stacked cabernet is just woof-inducingly lovely to drink. Finely tuned tannins follow a palate awash with dark cocoa, leather, plum and smoked cherries. The acidity and alcohol (14.5%) are beautifully balanced and add freshness and buoyancy, while a seam of dried herb and coffee bean create further complexity on the finish. Five years in the bottle and it’s maturing nicely, becoming a deeply flavourful, classic wine that’ll bring power to any dining table or tasting bench. Outstanding" Yvonne Lorkin, Oct 2022

Dark crimson red with excellent depth. A focussed wine displaying youthful primary fruit flavours of cassis and black berry on the mid-palate. The tight tannin structure and balanced acidity drive a palate of excellent length and clarity. Influences of French oak in the form of toasted cedar notes are apparent but restrained. Primarily, classic Cabernet Sauvignon aromas of blackberry leaf, give way to hints of darker berry fruits. Subsequent notes of French oak, savoury leather and spice enhance the interest in this wine.

"Ripe, rich and dense cabernet sauvignon with cassis, blackberry, Christmas cake, dried fruits and oak-spice flavours. Clearly the product of a good vintage. Fruit sweetness makes it immediately accessible, although it should cellar well" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Oct 2021

"This powerful, youthful red was estate-grown in the Bridge Pa Triangle and matured in French oak barriques (55% new).  Dark, sturdy and savoury, it is a bold style of cabernet sauvignon, with dense blackcurrant, plum, spice, liquorice and nut flavours, and the structure to be long-lived.  Best drinking 2026+" Michael Cooper, May 2022

"Deep core of purple hues leading to aromas of blackberry and cassis, deep purple skinned Doris plum and kitchen cupboard spices of vanilla and clove stems. There’s no mistaking the impact of new oak and it smoky sweet scents. On the palate - a core of ripe, dark berry fruit flavours, a marmite and burnt bell-pepper note, mealy textured mouthfeel with an abundance of tannins and acidity. Complex, very youthful, fleshy, fruity and ready. Great drinking from 2022 through 2030+" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Oct 2021

"Darkest ruby colour, with great depth to the aromas of blackcurrant, damson, Christmas baking spice, rosehip, boysenberry and a little lift of floral violets . Framed with smoky, toasty and warm oak influences – forming a nice doorway but unobtrusive. Bright, young and intense – still a little edgy – tannin and acidity looking to really integrate further as development continues. Dense and dark on the palate, fleshing out that tight backbone. Savoury notes of roast, charred fennel, capsicum and root veg – showing some green herbal edges as well, that overlay the depth of opulent fruit. Good development in the glass – this was decanted and benefits immensely from that treatment. Showing well/better on day two. The finish is complex, lengthy, and with that delicate balance of sweet and savoury at play" David Walker Bell, WineFolio, Oct 2021

Rich, dark berry fruit and earthy complexity with lifted notes of sandalwood, cedar, violets, florals thyme and a hint of vanilla. A dense, weighty wine kept in check by firm tannin and gentle acidity with dives exceptional length across the palate.
