Crimson purple. Aromas of raspberry and red cherry with overtones of Chinese five spice. Juicy red fruits and spice with subtle hints of cedar and vanilla from the well-integrated oak. Medium bodied with a good length an soft fine tannins.
An excellent fruit set in the spring followed by a warm dry summer preceded mild vintage conditions ensuring that grapes achieved their optimal ripeness. Overall, an exceptional vintage.
All vineyards are crushed and fermented separately. The Shiraz vineyards destined for this wine were fermented between 6 and 8 days at 18 to 26 degrees. Post fermentation the wine was matured in stainless steel to maintain vibrant fruit freshness for 6-8 months before being blended and bottled.
