"Taut, bone-dry Sauvignon with punchy acidity and struck flint/mineral, gooseberry, lemongrass and green capsicum flavours supported by vibrant acidity which helps drive an impressively lengthy finish" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Aug 2023

"Aromas of fresh apple and wet river pebbles, a fine layer of fresh herbs then white fleshed tropical fruits. Lighter weighted on the palate with a core of fruit flavours that reflect the bouquet, delicious acid line adds pizzazz and style highlighting a white flower layer. Balanced and well made with moderate+ length and finish. Best drinking from 2023 through 2027" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Sep 2022

Located on the western bank of the Waihopai River, Bankhouse is a close-planted vineyard with a myriad of soil types and aspects which provide diverse expressions from which to craft a wine. A dynamic wine with riper tropical flavours from the clay soils and emphasised minerality and freshness from the riverbed gravel soils.

Bankhouse is a close-planted vineyard with a myriad of soil types and aspects which provide diverse expressions from which to craft a wine. Bankhouse Estate is located on the western bank of the Waihopai River, further inland in the Wairau Valley, Marlborough. The grapes for this wine were harvested in cool night conditions to protect aromatics.

The Marlborough growing season started off well with very little frost pressure during spring. Flowering went without a glitch, due healthy soil moisture levels the canopies looked lush and vibrant. The start of 2022 summer was slightly colder; February was below the long-term average in temperature however the weather settled with a slightly damp autumn.
