Description

  • American & French oak
  • Black forest fruit
  • Vanilla bean & Spice
  • Velvety tannins

"Opulent and plush, the wine shows dark fruit richness, cake spice, toasty oak and mocha characters on the nose, followed by a concentrated palate offering plush texture and layers of velvety tannins. Sumptuous and delectable with a prolonged satisfying finish. At its best: now to 2038" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

Vibrant aromas of Black berry, black currant, with toasted notes of vanilla bean and spice. Palate is rich with black forest fruits, dark chocolate, tannins support the fruit and provide structure.

One of the best vintages in the last decade for the Barossa in 2021 with vignerons ecstatic with the quality of the fruit. Good rainfall over winter ensured the soil retained moisture over the early part of the growing season. A warm - but not ridiculously hot - Summer followed with dry conditions ensuring an even ripening all the way up to harvest. A vintage that will be celebrated in the region.

Little Giant Shiraz is crafted from fruit sourced from select premium vineyard in the Light Pass region of the Barossa Valley. Picked in the cool of the morning to retain freshness, the fruit is de-stemming and fermented in stainless steel tank. The wine then spent nine months in used large format French and American oak barrels to build structure whilst softening the palate and develop flavour complexity without overt extraction of oak characters.

The southern hairy-nose wombat is smaller than other wombats but is stocky, robust and the proud state emblem of South Australia. Like the might of the little wombat, Little Giant is crafted from premium regional South Australian fruit from established vineyards that deliver character and interest well above their size and weight.

Hand-crafted and made with minimal additions and preservatives, these are wines made of the vineyard. The grapes are picked at optimal ripeness, minimally handled in the winery and fruit vibrancy is not hidden by non-essential artefact. Seeking first and foremost fruit expression, drinkability and to be a great accompaniment to food. Don’t let the size fool you, these are wines you’ll want to drink.

Food Pairing: Best paired with braised beef cheek and parmesan mash potato!
