  • Peppercorns
  • Ripe tannins
  • Lingering finish

"Medium tannins. Earthy and toasty, with prune, black olive, scorched almond and a hint of tawny port" Phil Parker

Deep ruby red with violet hues. Blackcurrant, red stone fruits, and green fresh peppercorns and spice. Well-balanced with ripe tannins and a lingering finish.

The 'Eco' range was created specially for Santa Ana's most exacting consumers, who were in search of ever more natural products, aware of the importance of preserving the environment. As Santa Ana's director explains: " Organic production is a natural association for us as our winemakers are growers, and they have a vested interest in maintaining the health of the land for years to come to produce the best-tasting fruit. So 'Eco' was the answer to a natural harmony" Luis Capelli, Santa Ana, Export Director

The result of this venture has made Bodegas Santa Ana the leading organic winemaker in Argentina, with gold medals being awarded to the 2011 vintage at the prestigious Mundus Vini Biofach 2011, the only Argentine wines to obtain awards in that year. This initial success continues to lead Santa An winemakers to renew their commitment to directing their efforts towards organic production.

The healthy dry climate and soil in Santa Ana's growing region make Organic grape growing extremely successful, with Organic production accounting for 85 hectares their vineyards which are distributed in Mendoza and the San Juan provinces. They support their Organic production as well as by supporting other independent grape growers in these regions, working in collaboration year round with these farmers.

Food Pairing: The juicy red fruit in this wine pairs very well with seasoned red meats, lamb and ripe cheeses.
