Description

  • Black Doris plum
  • Ripe blackcurrant
  • Roasted nut
  • Polished tannins

"Beautifully fruited and immediately appealing, the wine shows Black Doris plum, dark cherry, thyme and roasted nut aromas on the nose, followed by a fruit-expressive palate offering excellent fruit intensity backed by polished tannins, finishing long and delectable" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

Dominant in flavour, this Pinot Noir is fruit driven with a soft round palate, Flavours of ripe blackcurrant and cherry are enhanced by the aromas of fresh hedgerow fruits and coffee.

The fruit for this Pinot Noir is sourced from select vineyards planted in the stony free draining soils of Marlborough’s valleys.

This Pinot Noir was machine harvested in mid-March of 2022. Transported immediately to the winery, the fruit was cold soaked in stainless steel tanks, extracting rich and inviting colour from the grape skins. The must was plunged daily in the height of fermentation before being transferred to undergo a second malolactic fermentation. The resulting wine is both delicious and fresh to taste.

Food Pairing: Pairing beautifully with red meats and pasta dishes.
