Description

  • Cranberry
  • Red cherry
  • Toasted nut
  • Balanced acidity

A fruit driven, easy drinking Pinot Noir with a soft, elegant palate, well-balanced acidity and vibrant flavours that linger in the mouth. The palate is fruit forward with cranberry, red cherry, and toasted nut characters.

Kingfisher Bay is a glorious bay in the Port Underwood area of the Marlborough Sounds not far from Marlborough Valley’s vineyards. The fruit for this Marlborough Pinot Noir was sourced from select vineyards within region that displayed delicious high-quality flavours.

The grapes were machine harvested and bought swiftly to the winery where the winemaking team took over. Fermented with indigenous yeasts, the fruit was hand plunged up to eight times daily extracting tanning and colour from the skins. The resulting wine was pressed and stored in barrel where it underwent a secondary malolactic fermentation.

Food Pairing: A savoury mid palate and silky structure make this wine perfect to pair with most red meats.
