Description
- French oak
- Black cherry
- Fine spices
- Velvety tannins
"A finessed expression of a cool, wet vintage, this rare library release showcases the longevity of well-made wines from Ventoux. Organic and biodynamically produced, it’s a full-bodied but spry 85/15 blend of Grenache and Syrah. Crisp red-plum and cherry flavors are vibrant but marked by veins of autumn leaf, allspice and freshly tilled earth. Silky on the finish, it’s fantastic now but should hold through 2025 at least" Wine Enthusiast
Deep, brilliant garnet. Intense nose with notes of black cherry, plum and liquorice, mixed with hints of torrefaction and fine spices. Powerful, full-bodied palate, with velvety tannins. Notes of cocoa and mocha, mixed with hints of dark fruits. Long aromatic finish, with hints of spices and plums.
85% Grenache, 15% Syrah, aged 18 months in French oak.
Food Pairing: Enjoy with roast beef, venison, duck and roasted vegetables. Decant for 2-3 hours and serve at room temperature. Ageing potential: 15-20 years.
