Description

  • Complex
  • Charateristic
  • Delicate, soft veining
  • Harmonious balance

Brilliant, attractive and warm ruby-red color. Ample and remarkably complex, with vinous and characteristic tones. Dry on the palate and gracious, with delicate and soft veining, a fine and harmonious balance.

The stems are seperated from the grapes, which are softly pressed in cylinders under pressure gently breaking their skins and releasing the juice. The juice is left to macerate on the skins for about a week in rotating temperature controlled stainless steel vinifers at a temperature of about 28-30ºC. After the alcoholic fermentation is over, the wine undergoes the malolactic fermentation, a process that lowers total acidity and makes wines seem rounder and fuller in flavour.

Zonin Among the 'World's top 50 most admired wine brands 2020' in Drinks International Magazine.

Zonin1821 is one of the most important family-owned wineries in Italy and in the world. An historic family of winegrowers now in its seventh generation, Zonin is renowned for the quality of its wines and its entrepreneurial dynamism. Its mission, starting with Italy, is to optimize its wines and its winegrowing regions with far- sightedness and familial continuity.

Inspired by the principle ‘to each region its traditions, to each region its wine’, since the end of the 1960s the family has selected only supremely well-suited terroirs, bringing the sum total of currently cultivated vineyards to approximately 2000 hectares. Its team is made up of 32 winemakers and agronomists operating across 12 estates located in the 7 most outstanding Italian winegrowing regions, in addition to the American estate of Barboursville Vineyards in Virginia (USA) and the Chilean estate of Dos Almas.

Their expertise in each winegrowing area, promotion of the ‘Italian lifestyle’ worldwide, quest for excellence through continuous improvement and the foresight and solidity of their entrepreneurial strategy are the most important values underpinning the company.

Food Pairing: The wine can be consumed throughout a meal and makes a fine accompaniment for all red meat dishes, savory preparations of the rural tradition and moderately aged cheeses.
