Aromas of juicy pineapple and lime are beautifully balanced with hints of nectarine and honeysuckle. The acidity and minerality makes for a crisp and refreshing wine with a long lingering finish.

Just like the vines themselves, the family’s story is entwined in the very roots of Marlborough winemaking. Allan Scott planted some of the region’s f irst vineyards in the 1970s, and just as the name promises, it has always been a family endeavour. Nowadays, it has evolved into a true family calling.

Harvest 2023 was a season characterized by collectiveness, collaboration, tranquility, and winemaking finesse. It began strongly with excellent f lowering, leading to the potential for an abundant crop come harvest time. A classic Marlborough summer saw consistent days with no excessive heat and a slightly lower sunshine total than average. Light yet persistent rain events during berry maturation meant that focused vineyard management was essential to preserve healthy fruit for the harvest. This challenge was well met across the vineyards, resulting in beautifully clean fruit ready for a promising harvest.

Like in previous years, the harvest took place during the refreshing coolness of the early morning. Following the pressing and the customary settling and racking procedures, the juice underwent fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Throughout the fermentation process, the wine was tasted daily until it reached the desired residual sugar level, at which point the fermentation was promptly halted.

Food Pairing: This wine is especially enjoyable with savoury and spicy dishes, with cheese or simply on its own.
