"A distinctive bouquet of ripe citrus and red apple, a mix of tropical fruits and white peach. As the wine touches the palate flavours of sweet grapefruit, apple and wet stone mineral attributes drive the core flavours. A light seam of fresh herb and bell-pepper also show. A supple touch with a highlight of acidity. Balanced, well-made and ready to drink" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier
"Aromas of sliced apples, ripe guavas, citrus leaves, and white blossoms. Medium-bodied, vibrant and mouth-filling with good fruit concentration and a vivid aftertaste. Generous and flavourful" James Suckling
Bright aromatics with hints, feijoa, kiwi fruit and ripe citrus tones. Distinctive yellow capsicum on palate back up by an array tropical fruit. The wine is dry, with a mouth-watering line of fine acid and flavoursome length. Easy to drink on its own, or to match with food.
Sourced from multiple sites in the Wairau and Waihopai Valleys on fertile silts, clay, and stony exriverbed soil types.
Winemaking is all about preserving each site’s individual identity, so it’s kept simple. Juices from each vineyard are kept separate and fermented with an appropriate yeast in stainless steel tanks. Individual wines are then blended according to our idea of a complementary whole.
Food Pairing: Versatile on the table; try green lipped mussels or other shellfish, Caesar salad and pesto based dishes.
