Description
Vibrant aromas of upfront dark fruit aromas of blackcurrant and olive tapenade. Tobacco leaf, choc mint, and liquoriceadd complexity with subtle hints of all spice. This is a medium bodied wine, characterized by a soft and approachable palate with dark fruit characters carrying through. Finishing with fine firm tannins.
Gravel Track pays tribute to the long gravel and limestone track that winds its way through our historic 60-year-old Farms vineyard.
The growing season leading to harvest was cooler than average, with a wet spring leading to delayed budburst. In October there was a severe hail event affecting some vineyards, thankfully ours in the Southern Barossa were missed. Throughout the ripening season temperatures were mild allowing steady ripening. The wines from 2022 show great aromatics, flavourintensity and balanced acid.
