Description
"Bright, purple-hued pink with some depth, lighter on the rim. The nose is fresh and mouthwatering with bright aromas of raspberries and pomegranate with an amalgam of steely florals and minerals, unfolding boiled sweet notes in the glass. Off-dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate features juicy and lush fruit flavours of raspberries, cranberries and pomegranate along with a layer of raspberry confectionary and lifted florals. This has a good core and shows depth. The mouthfeel is vibrant and lively with crisp, lacy acidity, and the wine follows a light, grainy-textured line that carries to a dry-textured, thirst-quenching finish of raspberry confectionary. This is a lively, fine-textured, juicy, off-dry Rosé with flavours of raspberries and pomegranate. Serve as an aperitif and with dim sum and tapas over the next 2 years. 100% Tempranillo from the Ucles region given 7 ½ hours skin contact and 30% saignee juice added, then cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and 8.9 g/L RS. Certified SHC organic." Raymond Chan
"Bright, delightful and immensely drinkable, this tasty Rosé is filled with stone fruit, strawberry and floral characters. The palate delivers juicy mouthfeel and creamy texture, together with integrated acidity, finishing long and refreshing. Just the ticket on a warm summer's afternoon. At its best: now to 2017" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
An approachable but serious Rosé wine, displaying great purity and typicity for the noble Tempranillo grape, in a lighter, more elegant style than most Spanish Rosés. Pale strawberry colour, with intense and fresh berry aromas over subtle floral notes. Excellent concentration and a slightly off-dry finish, beautifully balanced by crisp acidity and a refreshing, savoury note. A perfect summer drink and a highly versatile food wine with pasta, rice dishes, vegetables and curries as well as stir-fried, spicier dishes.
The Mesta was a powerful alliance of sheep ranchers in medieval Castile, who controlled the “cañadas”: traditional rights-of-way for migrating sheep. To this day, the “cañadas” are protected from being blocked or built upon. Our vineyards are nestled deep in the land of the Mesta, and are still passed over by flocks on their annual migration – an authentic reminder of ancient rights and a cultural cue for continuing co-existence with nature. Trough sustainable viticulture and respectful winemaking, we produce wines of great purity, reflecting the unique personality of our land.
