A classic Tempranillo (the grape of Rioja) and Cabernet Sauvignon blend. Aromas of ripe red fruits that are well defined with some oak flavours that are provided by ageing in French oak barrels.
This wine comes from Valencia, region of Spain. D.O. Utiel-Requena. Vineyards are planted on fairly flat ground. The soil is brown with high limestone content, healthy and permeable although low in organic content. Continental climate with cold winters and frequent extreme summers give singular wines. Fermentation at a controlled temperature then the wine is aged in American and French oak barrels for 6 months. It rest in bottle to ensure a complete harmonised maturation. 70% Tempranillo and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon.

That bit of age has smoothed the tannins making it far too easy to drink... for 10 bucks a bottle it's a bargain if you like Spanish reds
