The fruit for this Whalebone Bay Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from carefully selected vineyard sites within Marlborough. It’s a lively, fresh wine with a lifted nose of citrus blossom. The palate displays flavours of green capsicum, gooseberry and grapefruit. Subtle herbaceous notes add complexity and the finish is clean and crisp. A delightful wine with any seafood or fresh seasonal salads.
Recommended for drinking now or over the next 1-2 years.
Whalebone Bay is a colloquial term given to the shores of Port Underwood in Marlborough, that are littered with old whalebone remnants. It was here in the mid -1800s that whaling was in full swing. The pioneering spirit and uncompromising attitude of these people is reflected today by the dedication of Marlborough grape growers to producing top quality fruit.

Actually this turned up as Wishbone - not Whalebone, so that's a bit weird. Anyway the Wishbone is great - but not a very dry sav which is our preference so my review here is for the wrong wine. 3/5 for the Wishbone
