The wine offers vibrant fruit flavours together with subtle spicy/savoury notes, nicely structured by polished tannins. Flavoursome and friendly. At its best: now to 2020." Brilliant, intense red with violet and bluish tinges, with notes of cherries, raspberries and balanced hints of vanilla and coconut imparted from oak on the nose. Palate is well balanced, exhibits sweet tannins and a velvety finish.
The vines grow in alluvial soil with drip irrigation at an altitude of 1.050 m.a.s.l. The 2013 season offered dry climate with great sun exposure allowing perfect ripening. The parcels were handpicked before being destemmed and crushed. Fermentation over 20 days then took place in stainless steel tanks at 26°C, this was natual malolactic fermentation. Whilst ageing process was 30% of the must being fermented in French oak barrels for 6 months. The other 70% of the must
was fermented in stainless steel tanks. Celler for upto 3 years.
