A medium bodied wine displaying soft juicy dark fruit flavours. Mocha oak and savoury tannins add length to the palate. The wine is youthful and well balanced.

In the winery where this wine is produced in South Australia a cheeky little pig started to make a name for himself. Random and mischievous acts were being encountered, often accompanied by a glimpse of a curly tailed behind scrambling away with the cutest of little snorts. The winemakers could not help but love this little character; so much so they named a wine after him. Be assured, that like that shy little pig, this Merlot is to be equally be adored!

Sourced from selected vineyards within South-Eastern Australia, this modern and contemporary wine is fresh and vibrant. The contact with oak during fermentation adds some complex toasty characters.

The Shy Pig Shiraz 2016 has been crafted to drink now, either on its own, otherwise we can particularly recommend pairing to all varieties of red meat dishes including BBQ spare ribs.
