Description

  • American & French oak
  • Baked plum & dark cherry
  • Cocoa & buttersotch
  • Soft tannins

"Richly fruited and perfumed, the wine shows blackberry, vanillin oak, dark chocolate and cake spice aromas, followed by a wonderfully weighted palate displaying plump mouthfeel and silky texture. Energetic with excellent substance and body, finishing long and satisfying. At its best: now to 2030" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Nov 2022

Vibrant dark fruit aromas of baked plum, blackberry, and dark cherry compote. Cocoa dust, red liquorice and butterscotch also add a layer of complexity and sweetness to the nose. Mouth coating dark fruit fills the palate, with hints of leather and black pepper, tannins are soft, round and roll throughout the finish.

Sourced from premium vineyards in the Barossa, this wine was fermented at cooler temperatures for ten days followed by secondary fermentation and maturation in a combination of French and American oak for twelve months to add greater complexity and depth to the wine.

Gravel Track pays tribute to the long gravel and limestone track that wines its way through their historic 60-year-old Farms vineyard.

Is a quality, easy to drink wine. It has some complexity and a great nose. Buying it again
