Description

  • Oak
  • Blackberry & cherry
  • Roasted nut & spice
  • Silky tannins

"This is immediately appealing on the nose showing blackberry, clove, dried herb and roasted nut aromas with a hint of milk chocolate. The medium-full-bodied palate displays ripe fruit flavours with smooth texture and silky tannins, making it attractively supple and flavoursome" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Nov 2022

"Dark and broody with a core of black currant and toasty black berry fruits. A mix of barrel spices and soft peppery qualities then violets and a mild toasty wood smokiness. A very easy drink on the palate with an abundance of dark red berry flavours, plums and clove, vanilla and wood. Moderate to firm tannins and plenty of acidity. Well made, balanced and ready with best drinking from 2023 through 2026" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Dec 2022

Bright vibrant red with purple hues. Fresh red berry fruit with floral cherry notes. This bright style of McLaren Vale Shiraz displays lifted cherry, plum and gentle spices. The palate is persistent with elegant fruit, full of flavour and richness. This is a pristine McLaren Vale Shiraz from a great vintage. Drink now style and cedar until 2025.

The Shiraz was selected from four different locations across our estate grown McLaren Vale vineyards.

A simple philosophy of winemaking with minimal intervention, which includes use of oak to produce a fresh crunchy style.

The town of Sorrento, on the Amalfi Coast in Italy, is famous for its sweeping views and seaside lifestyle, much like McLaren Vale in South Australia, home of Serafino Wines.

Food Pairing: Red meat dishes.
