"This Pinot Gris is not as you know it, light orange/brown in colour with baked apple, citrus peel, cake spice and potpourri aromas, it's beautifully weighted and textured on the palate displaying robust mouthfeel backed by fine tannins, finishing long and pleasingly dry. Peaches and cream on the nose with a hint of liquorice and spice. On the palate there’s a tropicana party with pineapple, mango and passionfruit. A smooth tannin structure gives the wine weight and length. Drink slightly chilled with friends, or even people you don’t really know.
100% Central Otago Pinot Gris grapes. Hand harvested on the 5 April 2022 from the Cromwell basin, de-stemmed and fermented on skins. No temperature control for 31 days. Pressed then aged in either French oak or stainless steel for 6 months before being racked. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with sulphur added (17ppm).
