A classic Bordeaux style with aromas of red plums, olive and toasted nuts. The palate is highly structured and full bodied with flavours of blackcurrant and liquorice and earthy notes of wet gravel. Drinking beautifully now this wine can be enjoyed young or with careful cellaring will mature over the next 5 years or beyond.
The free draining gravel type soil in the Hawke’s Bay, combined with the climate are the perfect mix for the growth of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The fruit was carefully monitored during ripening and harvested in the cool evening at maximum flavour maturing and physiological ripeness.
Food Pairing: Matched perfectly with steak frites.
