Attractively aromatic with pear, puff pastry and cinnamon spice on the nose. The palate is equally charming with succulent flavours of poached pear and custard backed by a full and textured style and crisp acidity on the finish. Drinking well now, this wine will increase in complexity over at least the next three years.
This wine was produced with fruit from select Marlborough vineyards in the Southern and Omaka Valleys and harvested at optimum flavour ripeness. Post fermentation the wine was kept on light lees and stirred to enhance the notable texture and complexity. The wine was then tasted by our team of experts before being blended, stabilised and carefully prepared for bottling.
Food Pairing: Beautifully matched with chicken piccata.
