"A lovely wine with a bouquet of fresh black cherry and plum, some dark spices and bracken, dried herb and black currant. The barrel spices suggesting vanilla and a soft clove then a whisper of nutmeg. A silky touch on the palate gives way to some youthful, ripe tannins and plenty of acidity setting in place a decent foundation. Flavours mirror the bouquet centering of darker berries then barrel spice and ending with a dark soil mineral quality. Grown in Central Otago elevated glacial terraces and handpicked. Crafted at Gravity Winery via the ancient gravity-fed process to guide the wines to their fullest expressions. Each of the winery’s four levels serves as a stepping point in the gentle wine-making process. From harvesting to fermentation to barrel, the wine is barely touched before it is bottled.
