Delicate notes of peach, persimmon and red berries, complemented by hints of floral aromas. The effervescence dances on the palate, giving a refreshing burst of fruitiness with a subtle, crisp finish. Enjoy now, or cellar up to 2 years.
Marlborough experienced rather high rainfall during the growing season, resulting in high moisture levels throughout the vineyard. Dewy mornings combined with good crops created a sense of nervousness heading into vintage. However, the weather remained stable, which meant we could pick our fruit when desired and the concentration and health of the fruit was outstanding. This resulted in a Pinot Gris with concentrated flavours, with underlying purity and minerality with underlying purity and minerality.
Individual parcels of Pinot Gris were harvested, the fruit was destemmed, gently pressed and left to settle in tank for 48 hours. The clear juice was then racked prior to a long, cool fermentation to capture the bright, fresh characters. The individual parcels of Pinot Gris were then blended and blushed with a small percentage of Kolor, balanced, stabilised, and filtered prior to bottling.
Food Pairing: Summer salads, seafood dishes such as shrimp or sashimi and soft cheeses like brie or goats cheese. Suitable for vegetarians, vegans and a gluten free diet.
