Description

  • Cherry & plum
  • Dark chocolate
  • Black pepper
  • Smooth tannins

"It's splendidly fruited and instantly appealing on the nose, showing dark fruit intensity, mixed spice, olive and toasted nut aromas. The palate display succulent fruit intensity, combined with plump mouthfeel and silky texture, finishing long and delectable. At its best: now to 2030" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Jul 2024

"Aromas and flavours of cherries, raspberry and red apple skin, there’s a violet lift and crisp palate texture. Tannins are fine  with a light sand-paper texture, a decent acid line layers in crispness and a touch of salinity. A core of fruit mid palate surrounded by mouthfeel from tannins and acidity. A balanced and well made wine in a ready to drink style. Best from day of purchase through 2027" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Jul 2024

Medium ruby in colour with purple hues. Alluring red cherries, plum, blackcurrant and floral aromas with a hint of black pepper and freshly crushed sage. As suggested on the nose there are lots of delicious red fruits on the palate accompanied by smooth, fine tannins and finished with a pinch of dark chocolate.

The cool, wet winter and spring lasted into early summer. While cooler conditions continued, respite from heavy rain gave the vines a wonderfully long, cool growing season. Plentiful soil moisture allowed for large canopies which helped the grapes attain lovely flavours.

Food Pairing: Pair with a spicy stirfry or spaghetti and meatballs.
