"Upfront and fabulously aromatic with black/blueberry, warm spice, rich floral and toasty oak aromas, it's succulent and plump in the mouth, displaying silky texture and beautifully melded tannins. Crowd-pleasingly delicious. At its best: now to 2032" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Jul 2024
bright and lifted aromatics of red forest berries, vanilla bean and brown spices. The palate is rich and flavourful with hearty red and dark berry fruit fullness and a milk chocolate and cedarwood finish. A delicious and mouth filling red wine and all you’d expect when crafted from premium South Australian vineyards.
Burns & Fuller is a range of contemporary and fruit driven varietal wines made by Corey Ryan. Each wine is fruit-driven and balanced with a core of fruit given complexity by a barrell aged component.
2022 will probably be remembered as wet in most parts of Australia. However, in much of South Australia and select inland vineyards the rain did not hinder, rather it helped vines stay healthy and created favourable conditions for a modest and favourable crop across much of the country. Overall, quality was up but yields were down.
The fruit is partially hand-harvested before de-stemming and cool fermentation in small two tonne open fermenters with regular hand plunging. Matured in seasoned French oak (20% new French) for six months before boiling with minimal filtration and sulphur addition.
