Description

The wine displays more elegance and lift than previous vintages though the cooler Eden Valley fruit adds aromatic lift, interest, and freshness. This is a contemporary Barossa Shiraz having spent maturation time in older oak adding subtle vanilla and chocolate nuances.

Mid-strength is the most exciting segment of the lighter alcohol wine category, offering the benefits of morderation without compromising flavour. Little Giant is crafted from premium regional South Australian fruit from established vineyards that produce wines character and interest. Don't let the size or ABV% fool you, this mid-strength offering from Little Giant stays true to the region and delivers a wine experience to rival traditional wines.

One of the best vintage sint he last decade for the Barossa in 2021 with vignerons ecstatic with the quality of the fruit. Good rainfall over winter ensured the soil retained moisture iver the early part of the growing season. A warm - bot not ridiculously hot - Summer followed with dry conditions ensuring an even ripening all the way up to harvest. A vintage that will be celebrated in the region.

Little Giant Shiraz is crafted from fruit sourced from select premium vineyards of both the Barossa Valley and Eden Valley. Picked in the cool of the morning to retain freshness, the fruit is de-stemming and fermented in stainless steel tanks. A small component of the blend is cool distilled whilst another undergoes ultra-membrane filtration. With very gently handling, these components are masterfully blending back into the original parcel of wine to arrive at a well-integrated, lighter finished ABV. The wine post fermentation & blending spends the following three months maturing in stainless steel and 25% in second-use oak before bottling.

Food Pairing: There's softness on the finish and with its moderate alcohol is perfect for the luncheon occasion to partner many red meat cuisines or a Sunday BBQ!
