After 15 vintages Ben Glover has left his Chief Winemaking role at Wither Hills to concentrate his family brand - Zephyr. This fulfils a full circle from growing up on the family dairy farm, being involved in it's conversion in the late 1980's to viticulture and now making wine off the family farm.
The name Zephyr characterises the prevailing wind that complements Marlborough’s unique ripening season. Zephyr wines embrace the dynamic spirit of the Glover family and the lively aromatics of the estate vineyards. The Glover family vineyards, planted in 1985 alongside the meandering Opawa River, have inspired the family’s passion for wine.
