A delicious medium-bodied Pinot Gris with appealing aromas of freshly baked bread crust and fresh pear. The palate is full of refreshing apricot and ripe pear flavours with a light touch of spice. A long lingering finish showing classical elegance and finely balanced acidity.
This wine was produced with fruit from select Marlborough vineyards. Harvested in the cool of the evening to maintain fresh fruit flavours. A small portion was fermented in seasoned oak and underwent malolactic fermentation in order to add complexity and texture. At its best now until 2018. Beautifully matched with mushroom risotto, roast lemon chicken or Thai cuisine.

I have had and enjoyed W5 Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc many times but not tried the Pinot Gris before. I am very happy to say it is up there with the other wines.

Enjoyable and easy drinking wine, but i still like the Cloudy Bay Pinot Gris better
