Description

"A delightfully maturing pinot, the inviting bouquet shows ripe strawberry, dark cherry, warm spice and smoked game characters, leading to a succulent palate that is supple and rounded. The wine offers sweet berry flavours together with elegant savoury nuances, finishing long and silky. At its best: now to 2020" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, May 2019

Ruby-hued with lifted aromas; bright strawberry and jammy fruit mingle with light toasty oak. A delicate stemmy character adds depth and complexity while a bright acidity keeps the richness feeling fresh.

Dunstan Road is a tiny, artisan vineyard and winery in Central Otago. Today the vineyard is a tiny 2 Hectares of vines, the majority of which are Pinot Noir with individual rows of each, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer and Riesling.

Set in the beautiful, dramatic, rugged landscape of The Alexandra Basin, the area is described as having some of the most viticulturally significant soils in New Zealand. The rich alluvial soils of the Waikerikeri river gravels in the Alexandra Basin produce wines with a minerality and complexity of fruit, creating a distinctive style.
