Description

A very special trio of exceptional Champagne from the most coveted Champagne houses to celebrate Global Champagne Day 2023, by Black Market.

1 x Veuve Clicquot Champagne Brut NV (France)

Born from a need to distinguish a new “dry” champagne from its sweeter wine bearing a white label, Veuve Clicquot created a yellow label version for labelling the House’s Sec (dry) champagne. The Yellow Label found immediate and international success and the trademark was registered in 1877. This distinctive label became a main distinguishing feature of Veuve Clicquot bottles.

Traditionally, the proportion of each grape variety used is 50 to 55% Pinot Noir, 15 to 20% Meunier and 28 to 33% Chardonnay. These figures vary slightly from year to year according to conditions. Cellar Master Dominique Demarville has to achieve the consistency that makes Yellow Label so immediately recognizable, so utterly reliable both in terms of quality, color and bouquet. He will draw on priceless reserve wines for the blend: from 30 to 45% to ensure the continuity of the House’s style. All wines are kept separately to preserve the unique qualities of their vineyard and vintage.

1 x Moët & Chandon Impérial Champagne Brut NV (France)

Golden straw yellow with green highlights. The tangy intensity of green apple and citrus fruit. The freshness of mineral nuances and white flowers. The elegance of blond mature notes: brioche, cereals, fresh nuts. The delicious generosity of white fruits (pear, peach, apple). The alluring caress of fine bubbles. The soft vivacity of citrus fruit and gooseberry nuances.

Moët Impérial is the House’s iconic champagne. Created in 1869, it embodies the unique Moët & Chandon style. A style that distinguishes itself by its bright fruitiness, its seductive palate and its elegant maturity.

Created from more than 100 different wines, of which 20% to 30% are reserve wines specially selected to enhance its maturity, complexity and constancy, its assemblage reflects the diversity and complementarity of the three grapes varieties: The body of the Pinot Noir: 30 to 40%. The suppleness of the Pinot Meunier: 30 to 40%. The finesse of the Chardonnay: 20 to 30%.
