- Salivating
"Full of personality, the estate-grown 2015 vintage (5*) is a top buy. Bright lemon/green, with a beautifully scented bouquet, it is vigorous and tightly structured, but not austere, with intense lemon/lime flavours, gentle, toasty, bottle-aged notes adding complexity, and a lasting, dry (2 grams/litre of residual sugar) finish. Drinking well now, but with its best years still ahead, it's likely to be very long-lived" Michael Cooper, Jul 2022
"Very enticing bouquet filled with scents of lime and apple, there’s a fine toasty quality, some lemon and peach then yellow and white blossoms with a layer of mineral complexity. Crisp, salivating, refreshing and dry, a delicious wine that touches the senses of texture and fruit spice, complexity and varietal intensity. Balanced, well made and ready to drink from day of purchase and through 2028+" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Jul 2022
"Bright, medium yellow with a light green hue, even colour throughout. The nose is gently full, with aromas of lime, mandarin and citrus peel melded with dried floral, honey and a hint of savoury elements. Medium-bodied, dry to taste, a core of citrus fruit, lime, mandarin and peel extended by honey, dried floral, ginger and cereal; crunchy minerals draw a long line with acid tension to a savoury, crisp finish. The wine shows savoury development and complexity, supported by taut acid tension and core flow on an unctuous, chalky textured mouthfeel. This is a complex, textural, dry Riesling with a citrus, mineral core; savoury, spice development and a long chalky finish" Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Reviews, Jul 2022
"Dry and quite mellow wine that is still quite youthful after five or six years in bottle. Lime blossom and white flowers with a hint of initial sweetness leading to a pleasantly dry and lingering finish. Ready now" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Jun 2022
Light straw in colour with crisp apple and a hint of ginger on the nose. This dry-style Riesling shows typical Central Otago chalky minerality, with lime citrus flavours and a juicy acidity. Good mid palate weight with a long finish. Cellar: 5 years+. Drinking well now.
