Description

  • Ripe plum
  • Roasted almond
  • Soft herb & florals
  • French oak

"Pristine and perfumed, the bouquet shows Black Doris plum, violet and roasted almond characters with a hint of thyme. The beautifully weighted palate displays excellent fruit purity and rounded mouthfeel, well supported by fine-grained tannins. Delightfully expressed with lovely flow and persistency. At its best: 2023 to 2031" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Nov 2021

"Smooth-textured pinot noir with dark cherry, fresh herb, anise/spice, hedgerow and peppery tannin flavours. High energy, youthful red that needs bottle age to express its full potential. Elegant and appealing wine" Bob Campbell Master of Wine, Apr 2023

The BM Central Otago Pinot Noir is plush, fruity and complex with a strong undercurrent of toasty oak. Crafted in Cromwell, Central Otago, with hand-picked grapes from the Lowburn Valley. Grapes were fermented in a 4t open top vessel (30% whole cluster) with a daily punch down. The grapes were pressed after 3 weeks and aged in fine grain French oak barriques (20% new) for 12 months before bottling without filtration.

Food Pairing: This wine would pair beautifully with roasted red meats, rich vegetable dishes or a well prepared steak with mushroom sauce.
