Description

  • Sweet cherry
  • Warm spice
  • Polished tannins

"Elegantly complex and engaging, the bouquet shows sweet cherry, dried herb, game and warm spice aromas, followed by a silky-smooth palate offering fleshy texture and polished tannins. Soothing and comforting with attractive savoury nuances. Certified organic. At its best: now to 2027" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Jan 2023

"Crafted using gentle, biodynamic principles, this handpicked pinot was grown on the sun-baked, North-facing slopes of Bendigo and given a calm ferment in 4-tonne oak cuves with a 3-week post-ferment soak on its skins before being gently pressed, aged for 10 months then gently bottled. Winemakers Allan McWilliams and Jordan Hogg have created a soothing, saucy pinot noir edged with classic dried herbs and rhubarb notes, soft spices and a solid, smoky finish. Elegantly earthy" Yvonne Lorkin, Jul 2023

Ripe dark cherry and plum aromas with hints of Central Otago wild herbs. The palate is concentrated yet beautifully balanced with silky fine-grained tannins providing the framework for agebility and development of flavour.

Our aim in the vineyard is to grow the best fruit we can so it can speak of its home and express its personality. To do this you need healthy vines and soil. By practicing organics and incorporating some biodynamic principles we believe we are doing our best to help achieve this and let our vineyards evolve and speak as they would like.

Handpicked, destemmed, fermented in 4 tonnes oak cuvee lots, 3 weeks on skins. Gentle pressed and aged for 10 months. Gently filtered and bottled.
