Domaine Curry is a super luxury wine brand co-founded by Ayesha Curry, wife of NBA player Stephen Curry, and Sydel Curry-Lee. Launched in 2015, the small production wines have received high acclaim and often sell out upon release.
The grapes for this wine are sourced from Oakville, Stags Leap, and Oak Knoll. Oakville contributes notes of black fruit like currants and ark berries and rich flowy tannin. Stags Leap brings red fruit, warming spice and a hint of dried herbs and struture. Oak Knoll lends in blue fruit and an element of freshness to the final blend.
Grapes were hand-picked into half-ton bins and brought to the winery. The fruit was then gently destemmed and delivered into the top of the fermenter. After a short cold soak, grapes were inoculated with yeast. Once fermentation was complete, they were pressed off skins into another tank, then racked off heavy solds into a mixture of a new neutral 100% French oak.
